Healing isn’t a straight line — it’s a sacred process that takes honesty, time, and grace.

For almost two years, I’ve been meeting with Shelly, my therapist—a steady, compassionate guide who has helped me walk through the parts of my story I once tried to bury.

Through Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), I’ve been able to face my past, confront my pain, and begin to rewrite the way I see it — not through shame, but through redemption.

These Thursday sessions have become a rhythm of healing — the place where my faith and therapy meet. Here, I’ll share the lessons that surface in those conversations: the breakthroughs, the setbacks, and the quiet ways God shows up in both.

Some weeks will be heavy.
Some will be full of light.
All of them will be honest.

This isn’t about oversharing or reliving trauma — it’s about witnessing transformation.

If you’re walking your own road of recovery, I hope these reflections remind you that healing isn’t weakness, and therapy isn’t faithlessness — it’s a form of courage.

Because sometimes, healing looks like letting God sit in the therapist’s chair too.
